Yasuhito Kawasaki

Yasuhito Kawasaki, born in Saga, Japan, is a sculptor known for his distinctive works depicting innocent-looking children. He graduated from Kanazawa Art University in 2010 with a Master's Degree in Casting, and his mastery of this technique is evident in the delicate and emotionally rich sculptures he creates.

Kawasaki's works are deeply personal, often serving as self-portraits. His sculptures not only reflect direct caricatures of himself but also extend to portray others—whether people or animals—whom he perceives as mirrors of his own identity. To Kawasaki, individuals see aspects of themselves in others, a subconscious projection that shapes how we connect with the world. His family, with whom he shares close bonds, frequently inspires the emotional depth of his pieces.

In Kawasaki's art, inner character and emotions take precedence over the mere external form. The expressions, textures, and colors he chooses bring to life the inner world of his characters, each sculpture telling a story of complex emotions and thoughts. Through this intimate exploration, his works invite viewers to engage with the hidden narratives and emotional landscapes that define human experience.
